As part of our ongoing Christian Education here at St. Martin's,we offer weekly lectures and discussions that allow people to approach the scriptures from a low stress,but academic view .
We meet every Thursday night in the Lady Chapel at the Cathedral

1000 Introduction to the Old Testament: This course provides a look at the Old Testament . Our Goal here is to look at the history, theology and content of the Hebrew Scriptures.

1100 The Development of Christian Ideas: This Course will explore early Christianity – challenges, growth and how Creeds and Doctrines were developed.
1200 Introduction to the New Testament: This course provides a look at the New Testament. . Our Goal here is to look at the history, theology and content.

1300 It’s All Greek to Me! - How to Read the Bible (exegesis) This course will offer
An introduction to the basic elements of New Testament Greek and
Give you tools to use in understanding the Old and New Testaments .
1400 Church History: The First 1500 Years: A journey through the history of the Christian Church from its Jewish roots to the beginning of the Reformation. It is divided into three periods: (1) The Early Church, (2) The State Church, and (3) Medieval Christianity. . Our goal is to connect the dots of the past and present to gain a greater understanding of the Church we are a part of today.
1500 Church History: The Reformation to the 20th Century: This course looks at the history of events and changing thought about Christianity from the period known as the reformation to the 20th Century.
1600 The Church Today : This Course looks at the factors and realities of our rapidly changing society and how this has changed the face of the Church in our time.
1700 Introduction to Christian Worship (Liturgy) This course explores the history and development of the Eucharist, Baptism and Daily Offices
